Objectives of the Department

• To train students with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in population-related fields.

• To develop students’ capability to provide different population policies and programs in the global and Bangladesh contexts.

• To provide opportunities to conduct research on population-related issues such as fertility, mortality, and migration, along with related population health, gender issues, ageing, developmental, and environmental issues.
