Objectives of the Department

• Recognize the Community Medicine and Public Health concept, including its evolution, dimensions, and determinants.
• Identify and prioritize health issues concerning different communities and segments of the population in particular.
• Appreciate community health problems with multi-professional involvement in a coordinated manner.
• Identify research priorities in accessing and appraising scientific information, preparation of reports and presentations.
• Conceptualize community as the focal point of the lifetime multidimensional service of physicians and provide health care according to the community’s felt needs.
