Objectives of the Department

• Strengthen Health Systems: Enhance maternal and child health services, including sexual and reproductive health care, within academic and clinical settings through research.

• Conduct Collaborative Research: Partner with national and international organizations for targeted, evidence-based research to address maternal and child health indicators.

• Facilitate Targeted Training Programs: Organize specialized training for healthcare providers to enhance skill development, alongside national health campaigns.

• Promote Academic Excellence: Mentor public health postgraduate programs and research fellowships for emerging public health researchers focusing on maternal and child health.

• Build Capacity and Advocate for Policy Changes: Empower capacity-building initiatives and advocacy for policy reforms prioritizing maternal and child health funding.
